Role Description Cross Country Field Services is seeking a full-time, on-site Project Manager based in Brandon, MB to oversee the successful planning, execution, and completion of civil construction and infrastructure projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project delivery, including scheduling, budgeting, field operations, subcontractor coordination, procurement, client communication, and safety compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills, practical construction knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Projects May Include · Mass earthworks and grading · Underground utility installations · Civil infrastructure development · Site servicing and excavation · Industrial and commercial construction support Key Responsibilities · Manage civil construction projects from initiation through closeout · Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment resources · Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts · Monitor project progress and ensure timelines and deliverables are achieved · Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation · Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders · Ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements · Identify project risks and implement effective solutions proactively · Support procurement, logistics coordination, and material tracking · Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality control standards are maintained · Prepare project reporting, change orders, and progress updates · Foster a positive and productive working relationship with field personnel and clients Mandatory Qualifications & Experience · Grade 12 diploma, G.E.D., C.A.E.C., or Mature High School Diploma · Minimum five (5) years of experience working within an engineering, civil construction, or infrastructure project environment · Valid and subsisting Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License · Demonstrated experience managing civil construction, earthworks, or underground utility projects · Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, scheduling, and project coordination · Ability to work effectively in both office and field environments Preferred Qualifications · Experience in the infrastructure, power, oil & gas, or heavy civil construction sectors · Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field · Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation considered an asset · Experience with GPS grade control and machine control systems is considered an asset · Practical field experience in excavation, grading, mass earthworks, or underground utility construction is highly valued Skills & Attributes · Strong leadership and team management abilities · Excellent organizational and communication skills · Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities · Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities · Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality · Ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships · Self-motivated, accountable, and safety-focused Why Join CCFS? · Competitive compensation package · Health and Wellness Benefit Package · Opportunity to work on diverse and challenging infrastructure projects · Collaborative and team-oriented environment · Growing company with long-term career opportunities · Opportunity to make a direct impact within a growing organization · Supportive leadership team with practical field and industry experience · Modern equipment and technology-driven operations · Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence Apply Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resume and relevant project experience to: info@crosscountryfs.ca
