Job description
Build the future of major infrastructure with Harbourside Engineering Consultants (HEC). We are looking for an experienced Structural Drafter who is excited by the idea of turning complex engineering concepts into clear, buildable designs. If you enjoy working on large bridges, heavy civil structures, and projects that leave a lasting impact on communities, this role will keep you challenged and engaged every day. Our work spans bridges, ports, marine and coastal structures, and major civil projects across Atlantic Canada, Ontario, and international markets. We take pride in creating designs that support economic growth, community connection, and long term resilience. This is a fully on site position at our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office, where you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team. What You'll Be Doing - Creating detailed drawings and 3D models for bridges and heavy civil structures using AutoCAD. - Developing accurate fabrication and erection drawings that contractors depend on. - Working closely with engineers and project managers to refine details and ensure design clarity. - Interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications for large scale infrastructure projects. What you Bring - Strong proficiency in AutoCAD. - Experience in structural detailing for bridges or heavy civil projects. - High attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively. - A diploma or degree in drafting, civil engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.
