About the OpportunityService New Brunswick is seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to support the delivery of a large-scale Salesforce-based case and care management solution for Social Development. The platform will support citizens, vendors, and internal staff with services including intake, assessment, care planning, inspections, and payments.
The successful candidate will lead complex cross-functional initiatives using Agile methodologies while managing scope, schedules, risks, stakeholders, and delivery outcomes across multiple related projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end project delivery for complex IT and business transformation initiatives.
- Manage multiple related projects aligned with organizational and strategic objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional business and technical teams, including vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Drive Agile project lifecycle activities including Concept, Inception, Iteration, and Release phases.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, risk registers, and status reports.
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives, and steering committee meetings.
- Manage project scope, budget, timelines, quality, communications, and stakeholder expectations.
- Support business analysis and discovery activities including workshops, requirements gathering, and user story development.
- Collaborate with technical teams to organize and prioritize development-ready user stories.
- Lead change management initiatives and develop organizational change management plans.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure successful delivery of Salesforce-based solutions, preferably within Health Cloud environments.
- Provide regular reporting and delivery updates to executive leadership and SNB management teams.
Mandatory Requirements (M1–M5)M1 – Communication Skills- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are mandatory.
M2 – EducationCandidates must possess one of the following:
- University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related discipline
OR
- Equivalent combination of post-secondary education and relevant IT/project management experience.
M3 – IM/IT Experience- Minimum 10 years of IM/IT experience across a variety of projects and technology environments.
M4 – Agile Delivery Experience- Minimum 2 years of full lifecycle delivery experience using Agile methodologies.
M5 – Senior Project Management Experience- Minimum 5 years of Senior Project Management experience managing multiple related projects aligned to organizational strategic objectives.
- Experience coordinating teams across projects, managing stakeholder expectations, and facilitating communication between multiple stakeholder groups is required.
Scored Requirements (S1–S9)S1 – Senior IT Project Management Experience- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Senior IT Project Manager in IT system development and support environments.
S2 – Cross-Functional Leadership- Minimum 5 years leading cross-functional business and technical teams consisting of internal resources, external vendors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Must demonstrate delivery complexity, decision-making authority, and organizational influence.
S3 – Public Sector Experience- Minimum 2 years of experience working within or for the Canadian public sector.
S4 – Change Management- Minimum 2 years of experience developing and executing organizational change management plans.
S5 – Project Planning & Financial Management- Minimum 5 years of experience in:
- Cost estimation
- Resource planning
- Schedule management
- Project time management
S6 – IT Systems & Business Process Knowledge- Strong understanding of IT system concepts and their impact on operational and business processes.
S7 – CertificationsOne or more of the following certifications is preferred:
S8 – Agile Lifecycle Delivery- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Agile lifecycle delivery experience covering:
- Concept
- Inception
- Iteration
- Release phases
S9 – Salesforce Delivery Experience- Minimum 2 years managing Salesforce solution delivery projects.
- Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud is highly preferred.
