Job descriptionOur client, a privately held, global seafood company known for responsible harvesting and sustainable processes, is seeking a Director of Processing to lead plant operations and processing performance across multiple facilities in Eastern Canada and Maine. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, optimizing production performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring the highest standards in safety, quality, and productivity. Reporting to senior leadership, this is a highly visible opportunity to strengthen operations and support company growth. Some responsibilities include: • Lead multi-site processing operations focused on safety, efficiency, and operational excellence • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize yield, reduce waste, and improve productivity • Partner cross-functionally to improve plant performance, reliability, and overall operational results • Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory standards • Lead and develop plant leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration • Oversee operational budgets, KPIs, and profitability initiatives Some qualifications include: • 10+ years of experience in fish or seafood processing, with 5+ in a leadership role • Strong background in plant operations, yield optimization, and cost control • Proven ability to lead large teams and drive measurable operational results • Expertise in food safety and regulatory systems, including HACCP, CFIA, SQF, and BRC • Experience leading Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills Excellent compensation package, including a comprehensive benefits program.
