This is a pivotal role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end Canadian payroll for both unionized hourly employees and salaried staff, ensuring full adherence to Ontario and federal legislation, collective agreements, and internal policies. Alongside payroll responsibilities, this role supports essential Accounts Payable functions, including invoice processing, payment execution, vendor reconciliations, and audit preparation. The successful candidate will maintain strong internal controls, financial accuracy, and operational efficiency - contributing directly to the organization’s overall financial integrity. Job Location: Ingersoll, ON Job Type: Full-time, permanent – 100% onsite role. Compensation: $54,500 - $75,300.00 annually to start + excellent benefits + profit sharing + tuition reimbursement and more! Key Responsibilities: - Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing within a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment - Interpret and apply collective agreements and relevant payroll legislation with precision - Maintain strict confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion - Operate independently while demonstrating accountability for payroll and AP responsibilities - Collaborate effectively with Finance, HR, and Operations to support organizational objectives - Identify opportunities to enhance processes and implement best‑practice improvements Requirements/Qualifications: - Valid Payroll Compliance Certification (PCP) is required - Must have completed Post-Secondary education in Accounting, Finance, and/or a related field. - Must have at least 2+ years of Canadian payroll experience and possess strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation (Ontario, ESA, CRA, WSIB) - Must have proven experience with accounts payable processes, financial reconciliations, payroll systems and ERP platforms - Must have prior knowledge of manufacturing supply chains including machining, fabrication, subcontracting or MRO procurement. - Must have a clean criminal record & must be a Canadian Citizen or hold a Permanent Residency in order to pass Controlled Goods requirement.
