Position Overview We are seeking a full-time Interior Designer with 5+ years of experience to manage and deliver interior design solutions across a wide variety of projects. The ideal candidate will be able to visualize and outline client objectives, conceptualize and design plans for the client. This role requires a balance of creativity, technical ability, and strong communication skills, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Responsibilities - Manage interior design for a diverse range of projects. - Interpret and visualize client objectives and develop conceptual design solutions. - Prepare design concepts, plans, and presentations. - Source and specify materials, finishes, furnishings, and products. - Create presentation materials, including storyboards and mood boards. - Develop and administer full construction drawing packages and specifications. - Establish project timelines and manage progress from concept through completion. - Ensure projects are delivered within budget and schedule constraints. - Utilize design software and computer applications throughout the design process. - Collaborate within a team environment and contribute positively to the company culture. - Act as a positive role model within the organization. - Apply sales and marketing strategies, including digital media, where applicable. - Review and check work for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Required Skills - Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD (latest versions), and 3D Visualization applications. - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to produce detailed construction drawings and specifications. - Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills. - Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. - Meticulous with a strong focus on quality and accuracy. - Self-motivated, conscientious, and professional. - Strong business acumen. - Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. - Intermediate to advanced familiarity with the Ontario Building Code. - Knowledge of building science and interior detailing. - Experience or interest in business development. - Understanding and application of sales and marketing strategies. - Motivation for continuous learning and professional development. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Minimum 5+ years of interior design experience in Canada. - Registered Interior Designer designation or CIDQ certification. - Demonstrated portfolio of design work. - Highly creative, imaginative, and artistic capability. - Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic and positive disposition.
