Job descriptionTelecom Systems Analyst (Voice & Network Infrastructure) We are seeking a high-level Telecom Systems Analyst to own the deployment, optimization, and maintenance of our customers’ core communications infrastructure. You will be responsible for the "heart" of our service: ensuring that our PBX systems are resilient, our SIP signaling is flawless, and our network architecture is optimized for real-time voice and video traffic. Key Responsibilities: · PBX & Unified Communications Management: Implement and maintain multi-tenant PBX environments (e.g., Asterisk, FreePBX, FreeSWITCH, or proprietary cloud stacks). You’ll manage network design and automation, call routing logic, IVR trees, and queue configurations across on-premise, cloud and hybrid deployments. · IoT Voice Applications: Implement and maintain voice systems for various Internet of Things (IoT) devices such as IP-based Public Address and Audio using SIP, SNPP, or DANTE. · SIP Signaling & Protocol Analysis: Perform deep-packet inspection using tools like Wireshark or SNGREP to troubleshoot SIP ladder diagrams, identify 4xx/5xx errors, and resolve one-way audio or dropped call issues. · Network Engineering (Voice-Optimized): Configure and tune firewalls, SBCs (Session Border Controllers), and switches. You will prioritize Voice over IP (VoIP) traffic using QoS (Quality of Service) and DSCP tagging to eliminate jitter and latency. · Carrier Interconnects: Manage the technical setup of SIP trunks with Tier-1 carriers. You'll handle IP authentication, Digest authentication, and prefix-based routing. · Proactive Monitoring & Observability: Build and monitor dashboards that track MOS (Mean Opinion Score), packet loss, and jitter. You don't wait for a customer to complain; you identify degradation before it impacts the UX. Qualifications: · Familiarity of protocols such as SIP, RTP/RTCP, TCP/UDP, TLS (for Secure SIP), and DNS (SRV/NAPTR). · Strong in networking concepts and parameters such as VLAN tagging, VPN tunneling (IPsec/OpenVPN), and NAT traversal (STUN/TURN/ICE). · Experience with Session Border Controllers (e.g., Ribbon, Audiocodes, or Kamailio/OpenSIPS). · Long term experience with analysis tools such as Wireshark, Homer/SIPCapture, and Nagios or Zabbix for infrastructure monitoring · Post-secondary education degree or diploma in a related field · Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional internal teams Pay & Benefits: · $75K - $85K pay range · Medical/dental benefits · Hybrid “work-from-home” setup
