Job descriptionMortgage Funder Toronto, ON (In- office) $85,000- $100,000 + bonus/ benefits. The Mortgage Funder supports the funding, closing, and administration of commercial real estate financing transactions. This role works closely with internal lending teams, legal counsel, borrowers, and external stakeholders to ensure transactions are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established policies, legal requirements, and funding timelines. This particular position will focus on CMHC commercial real estate loans. Responsibilities: - Coordinate the funding and closing of commercial mortgage transactions including term loans, construction financing, bridge facilities, and syndicated transactions. - Review and organize loan documentation, commitment letters, security documentation, corporate searches, and funding conditions prior to closing. - Liaise with external legal counsel, borrowers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely transaction funding and issue resolution. - Prepare and review funding summaries, payout statements, wire instructions, and closing documentation. - Monitor outstanding funding conditions, legal requirements, insurance, and third-party reports to ensure timely completion. - Assist with construction draws, holdback releases, and post-funding administration activities. - Review corporate and borrower documentation in accordance with internal compliance and AML requirements. - Maintain accurate transaction records and support ongoing portfolio administration activities. - Ensure transactions are completed in compliance with company policies, lending guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications - Experience in commercial mortgage funding, commercial lending, real estate law, or a related financial services environment. - Familiarity with commercial mortgage and real estate financing documentation. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems. - Post-secondary education in Law Clerk, Business, Finance, or a related field is considered an asset.
