The Opportunity: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for developing and executing personnel procedures and policies and providing guidance and interpretation for business operations in Canada. This position plays a critical role in providing support and partnership to the business to ensure multi-province compliance. A Glimpse Into Your Day: - Ensure legal compliance of province and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required - Support human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; occupational health and safety; and training and development. - Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action and best practices - Participate in creation, evolution and delivery of training programs and materials which have high clarity and impact - Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to front line leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions) - Partner with various stakeholders and departments to identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvement and new initiatives - Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees while reducing legal risks; partner with internal and/or external legal counsel as required - Prepare and complete reports and communications as needed in compliance with provincial and federal requirements - Assist with various HR-related projects - Perform other duties as assigned Who You Are: - Bachelor's degree - Minimum three (3) years proven HR Experience - Knowledge/understanding of employment legislation and best practices (as appropriate by provinces)-Occupational Health & Safety Act, Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Human Rights Act - Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment - Natural interpersonal and communication skills - Strong attention to detail - Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives with overlapping tasks - Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude - Bi-lingual in English and French (preferred) - Experience in employment services, outsourcing and/or staffing (preferred) Exclusive Benefits: - A strong cultural environment, recognized by Inc.
