Job Description: Danish Medical Interpreter (Remote – Ontario, Canada) Company: Kelly At Kelly, meaningful work is impactful and rewarding. We are hiring Danish Medical Interpreters for current openings to support critical communication needs across Canada via audio (OPI) and video (VRI) platforms. Role Overview As an interpreter supporting healthcare providers, emergency services, and public service organizations, you may be assigned calls involving sensitive, emotional, or potentially distressing subject matter, such as medical emergencies, violence, criminal matters, or other challenging situations. Due to the nature of this role, some calls may require extended engagement or occur during periods of high call volume. Interpreters are expected to maintain professionalism, composure, accuracy, and confidentiality at all times, delivering services in accordance with company standards and ethical guidelines. Why Join Kelly - Competitive Pay: $19.35/hr upon successful training completion - Paid Training: Three weeks of structured, professional training. - Candidate must be located in Ontario, Canada - Purpose-Driven Role: Every call supports patients, families, and professionals - Vacation & Holiday Pay: Promoting work-life balance - Inclusive Culture: Diverse, collaborative environment - Career Growth: Pathways to operational and leadership roles Key Responsibilities - Provide real-time interpretation between English and Danish speakers - Facilitate communication in healthcare, insurance, legal, and financial settings - Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity on every call - Deliver interpretation via audio and video platforms - Participate in training, quality monitoring, and performance improvement initiatives Qualifications - Fluency in English and Danish (speaking & comprehension) - High school diploma or GED - Minimum 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in Canada - Quiet, distraction-free workspace with high-speed internet - Strong listening skills, emotional intelligence, and composure - Commitment to three weeks of full-time paid training - Medical or healthcare experience is an asset (not required) VRI/Hybrid Readiness & Performance Expectations - Equipment & Technical: Company-approved device, headset, proper camera/lighting - Appearance & Professionalism: Neutral, professional attire; posture, demeanor, and eye contact matter - Call Readiness & Reliability: Prompt acceptance of calls; report technical issues immediately - Performance Monitoring: Participate in QA checks, refresher training, and skill evaluations - Career Development: Consistency in accuracy and professionalism opens opportunities for supervisory or leadership roles Next Steps 1.
