Job description
POSITION OVERVIEW As a key leader within the Human Resources team, the Talent Team Lead is responsible for leading the operational execution of talent acquisition initiatives that support business growth and long-term workforce planning. This role partners closely with senior leaders, hiring managers, and HR colleagues to design and deliver scalable, high-impact recruitment strategies across the organization. The Talent Team Lead oversees full-cycle recruitment for a diverse portfolio of roles, leads regional talent initiatives, and manages a small regional team to ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience. This role plays a critical part in strengthening Navacord’s employer brand and building sustainable talent pipelines across British Columbia. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from our Vancouver Regional office based on the needs of the role and/or as required by management. Travel to branches across British Columbia is required. RESPONSIBILITIES: Talent Lead - Drive the hiring strategy and process to collect the Navacord Talent Strategy Annual Plan Workbook. - Collaboration with HR & Functional Leaders on the workforce deployment plan. - Understand local commission structures and draft prospect documents on behalf of sales leadership and presidents. - Carry a requisition load and lead recruitment process depending on the role. - Lead annual talent updates and regular cadence meetings with key stakeholders. - Lead a small team in a region and coordinate requisition disbursement for the team. - Be part of the national leadership team for talent acquisition with the National Director of Talent. Full-Cycle Recruitment - Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire high-quality candidates for various positions across the organization. - Utilize advanced sourcing techniques and tools to identify and engage passive candidates, including leveraging social media, AI, professional networks, and industry connections. - Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned roles, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection. - Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit for the organization. - Facilitate and coordinate candidate interviews with hiring teams, ensuring a positive and efficient candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Talent Pipeline - Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline to proactively address future hiring needs and support ongoing organizational growth. - Develop and maintain relationships with potential candidates, industry professionals, and recruitment agencies to ensure a steady flow of qualified talent. - Participate in industry events, job fairs, and networking activities to enhance the company’s visibility and attract top talent. Additional duties and responsibilities may be added during the course of employment. REQUIREMENTS: - Education or certificate programs related to business, human resources, recruitment, or related field. - Demonstrated years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including recruitment for diverse and hard-to-fill roles. - Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle recruitment and advanced sourcing methodologies. - Proven leadership capability with experience mentoring other recruiters. - Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Compensation is determined by a combination of factors including a candidate’s experience, job-specific knowledge, and skills.
