As an authorized first aid training provider, WCFF complies with and exceeds Alberta's Occupational Health & Safety legislation requirements, offering certifications such as Level-C CPR and AED training. Known for its certified instructors with practical field experience, WCFF creates an interactive and low-stress adult learning environment that prepares students for real-life emergencies. In addition to first aid, WCFF specializes in workplace health and safety training, including Fall Protection, Fire Safety, and equipment certifications like Lift Truck and Excavator operations. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB, for a First Aid Instructor. The First Aid Instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical first aid training sessions, focusing on equipping participants with essential life-saving skills, such as CPR and AED usage. Key responsibilities also include preparing and organizing training materials, maintaining compliance with Alberta Occupational Health & Safety standards, and ensuring a supportive and effective adult learning environment. In addition, the instructor may participate in workplace safety training programs offered by the company. Qualifications - Expertise in First Aid Training and strong understanding of life-saving techniques - Exceptional Communication and Teaching skills to foster an engaging learning environment - Ability to conduct Training sessions effectively for diverse audiences and scenarios - Valid First Aid certifications relevant to Alberta Occupational Health & Safety standards - Prior experience in safety instructions or emergency response is an asset - Organizational skills to prepare and manage training sessions - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with teams - Familiarity with workplace safety training is an advantage
