Job descriptionWe are looking for an Acumatica Consultant / Functional Business Analyst to join an organization on a part-time contractual basis in Burnaby, British Columbia. This role will focus on evaluating how Acumatica is being used across the business, uncovering process gaps, and recommending practical improvements that strengthen reporting, controls, and day-to-day operations. The successful Acumatica Consultant will work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, support more efficient workflows, and help improve the reliability of financial and operational information. Responsibilities: • Evaluate current Acumatica processes to uncover operational gaps, control weaknesses, and areas where efficiency can be improved. • Examine approval paths, reporting frameworks, and related business controls to identify opportunities for stronger governance and better visibility. • Recommend solutions that replace manual spreadsheet-driven activities, with particular attention to improving financial reporting practices. • Analyze end-to-end transaction cycles and help enhance the flow from quotation through order entry to invoicing. • Investigate business issues affecting inventory, commissions, pricing, credit-related quotations, and billing accuracy, and propose corrective actions. • Develop or advise on the creation of Acumatica Generic Inquiries, management reports, and dashboards that support business decision-making. • Lead focused working sessions with business users to gather requirements, confirm priorities, and validate proposed solutions. • Prepare clear documentation outlining findings, recommended actions, internal controls, and future-state business processes. To be considered for this engagement, you will have the following: • Demonstrated experience working as a Functional Business Analyst within business systems or ERP-focused environments. • Hands-on knowledge of Acumatica, including the ability to assess system usage and support functional improvements. • Strong background in gap analysis and translating business needs into structured requirement documentation. • Experience documenting workflows, process controls, and business recommendations in a clear and organized manner. • Ability to facilitate workshops with stakeholders and build alignment on requirements and solution direction. • Understanding of financial and operational processes such as reporting, order processing, inventory, pricing, and invoicing. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend practical, business-focused improvements.
