As part of the Student Success Team, the Learning Strategist is a critical position that works with students and faculty in the Middle and Senior School, providing student learning support services, ensuring every student has the resources to flourish, and has a sense of belonging. The temporary Learning Strategist is responsible for maintaining programs and services designed to foster an inclusive, healthy, and high-achieving student body from Grade 7 through Grade 12 and recommending improvements as appropriate. Qualifications and Experience - Bachelor’s degree (Education, Psychology, or related field preferred) with graduate level studies in fields of learning support or diverse learners - A minimum of 5 years of experience in an independent school or similar setting, covering multiple divisions (e.g., Primary and Secondary) - Knowledge of IB (DP, MYP and PYP) is preferred - Strong understanding of adolescent development, social-emotional, as well as intellectual - Demonstrated experience developing and managing student support plans and programs, and using data to inform decision-making - Knowledge and experience writing learning plans, implementing accommodations, modifications and assessment strategies - Creative and innovative approach to learning within an inquiry-based setting - Proven ability to work with sensitive and confidential information - Demonstrated leadership within complex student communities - Strong knowledge of EDI principles, as it relates to student development. - Exceptional organizational, communication, and conflict resolution skills The successful candidate will be subject to passing and maintaining a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector check.
