Job descriptionConstruction Supervisor – Civil Position Title: Construction Supervisor – Civil Location: Remote Mining Site, Ontario Work Schedule: FIFO 14/14 Rotation Employment Type: Contract | Long-term contract opportunity with expected annual renewals Our client, a major Canadian mining company, is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor – Civil to support a large multi-year capital projects portfolio at a remote mining operation in Northern Ontario. Reporting to the Construction Superintendent, this role will oversee civil, structural, and building envelope construction activities within a heavy industrial mining environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. Key Responsibilities - Supervise civil, structural, and building envelope construction activities on site - Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and field crews in a remote construction environment - Ensure compliance with Ontario construction, safety, and applicable regulatory requirements - Monitor construction progress, schedules, productivity, and quality performance - Support field coordination between construction, engineering, and project teams - Review contractor methodologies, progress reporting, inspections, permits, and timesheets - Assist with RFIs, field issue resolution, and change management activities - Promote and enforce strong safety standards and site procedures Qualifications - 10+ years of construction supervision experience in mining, industrial, or large infrastructure projects, with previous experience in Ontario mining being a requirement - Strong civil and/or building envelope construction background - Strong knowledge of Ontario construction and safety regulations and experience working within TSSA-regulated industrial environments and applicable TSSA requirements - Previous experience in heavy industrial or mining environments is required - Strong knowledge of Ontario construction and safety regulations and experience working within TSSA-regulated industrial environments and applicable TSSA requirements - Experience working on remote or rotational projects is preferred - Ability to work a 14/14 rotation at a remote mining site Why Join?
