Senior Technical Business Analyst

The Company TekRek has partnered with a well-established healthcare and benefits organization; a recognized leader in extended health, dental, and pharmacy benefits serving millions of plan members across the country. Job Description This is a hybrid BA/SM role embedded within a cross-functional delivery team responsible for backend payments, statements workflows, and the systems that support them. You will be the bridge between business stakeholders, operations, and engineering helping to translate complex financial and data workflows into clear, build-ready requirements. You will: - Lead analysis and definition of backend payments and statements workflows. Documenting end-to-end data flows, reconciliation rules, and reporting requirements across upstream and downstream systems. - Validate system data and business rules using Oracle/SQL to support requirements clarification, UAT, and issue investigation. - Define and validate system-level integrations and APIs, documenting request/response structures, execution sequencing, and error scenarios within user stories and acceptance criteria. - Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to elicit, analyze, and document requirements. - Support backlog refinement, UAT planning, execution, and defect triage. - Serve as Scrum Master for the delivery team; facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Job Requirements - 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Scrum Master, or hybrid BA/SM role. - Demonstrated experience mapping backend payments, reconciliation, or financial data workflows in a complex, multi-system environment. - Hands-on use of Oracle or SQL to validate data, investigate issues, and support requirements clarification; not a developer, but comfortable writing queries independently. - Proven ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that include API-level detail: request/response structures, sequencing, error scenarios, and edge cases. - Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies with practical facilitation experience.
