Job descriptionJob Summary We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer / Team Lead – Material & Process (M&P) with strong program exposure to support airframe design, qualification, certification, and in‑service activities. The ideal candidate will act as a core team member, provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and support cross‑functional aviation engineering activities across multiple platforms. Key Responsibilities - Provide engineering support for standard parts, including 3D modeling, redesign, and optimization - Perform tasks related to development, qualification, certification, and in‑service support of airframe structures - Support manufacturing and in‑service investigations, including root cause analysis - Participate in airframe design reviews to ensure compliance with Aircraft Design Requirements - Support Final Assembly Line (FAL) and in‑service aircraft for development issues - Perform technical assessment of Requests for Deviation (RFD) - Create, modify, and update: Airbus standards using approved templates, Engineering Material Control Manual (EMCM), Working Instructions (WI) & Technical and qualification reports. - Support and prepare Qualification Test Plans (QTP) and Qualification Test Reports (QTR) - Perform M&P data analysis and investigations - Support Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and drawing approvals - Support environmental compliance activities (e.g., REACH analysis) - Coordinate with suppliers, certification authorities, and internal stakeholders - Manage review and approval of supplier deliverables (Structures & Systems) - Support cross‑functional teams including Quality, Procurement, Production, Customer Support, Program Office, and Product Planning Experience Requirements - 8–12 years of experience in Material & Process (M&P) engineering within aerospace design and development. - Strong working experience across major programs such as A220, A320, A350, A380 with solid understanding of Airbus processes, methods, and tools. - Proven capability to work as a core team member, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers. - Hands‑on experience with onsite–offshore delivery models and global engineering collaboration. - Experience in creation, modification, and maintenance of Airbus-compliant standards, EMCM documents, working instructions, and technical reports. - Strong exposure to qualification activities, including QTP/QTR creation and review. - Experience performing technical assessments of RFDs, supporting NCRs, and approving engineering drawings. - Skilled in M&P analysis, data investigation, environmental compliance (e.g., REACH), and production support. - Background in root cause analysis, manufacturing investigations, and in-service issue resolution. - Experience coordinating with suppliers, certification authorities, and internal cross‑functional departments. Required Technical Skills - Strong experience in Design / Mapping projects - Working knowledge of programs: A220, A320, A350, A380 - Excellent understanding of M&P processes, methods, and tools - Hands‑on experience in onsite–offshore delivery models - Proven ability to provide quick production support and quality checks Tools & Systems - CATIA V5, VPM, PDMLink / PASS SSI - Customized tools: A2PS, SAP, Eroom, DAAS, Datalink, Zamiz, 3DJUUMP, Normaster - MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint Soft Skills & Competencies - Customer-centric mindset with strong sense of ownership - Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities - Strong team leadership and mentoring capabilities - Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills - High focus on execution excellence and results orientation - Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced aerospace environment Preferred Profile - Prior experience working directly with Airbus standards and certification processes - Exposure to supplier management and regulatory interactions - Strong communication skills for technical coordination and design reviews
