Senior DataOps/Cloud Data Engineer

We are seeking an expert Senior DataOps/Cloud Data Engineer to lead the orchestration, deployment automation, and performance tuning of enterprise cloud data platforms. In this role, you will take technical ownership of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for massive database architectures, bridging the gap between legacy environments and modern cloud ecosystems. Operating across transactional (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) data layers, you will design complex storage schemas, handle large-scale data migrations, and optimize cloud configurations to ensure high-performance data processing, absolute data integrity, and secure data access.

Responsibilities
DataOps & Pipeline Automation: Design, build, and optimize automated database CI/CD release pipelines to seamlessly promote structural database changes across multi-tier environments.

Database Release Engineering: Manage database state deployments using data-tier application packages (DACPAC), establishing automated promotion rules from development to production.

Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning: Provision, configure, and secure cloud storage and compute services, including virtual machines, disks, file shares, and key vaults.

Large-Scale Data Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain advanced logical and physical data schemas, fact/dimension models, enterprise data lakes, and data lakehouse architectures.

Data Migration & ETL Engineering: Architect and execute data conversion, loading, and migration programs for Very Large Data (VLD) environments across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS structures.

Multi-Engine Database Administration: Plan, patch, configure, and maintain performance tuning for heterogeneous database engines including Oracle, SQL Server, and Synapse.

Advanced Query Programming: Develop and optimize complex backend logic using Oracle PL/SQL programs and SQL Server stored procedures, diagnosing and resolving architectural database issues.

System Telemetry & Monitoring: Monitor environment health, configure alerting dashboards via cloud monitoring tools, track system incidents, and execute data backup/recovery testing scripts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in technical requirement walkthroughs and use case reviews, delivering comprehensive system design documentation and structured technical knowledge transfers to permanent teams.



Qualifications
Core Data Engineering Seniority: 8+ years of progressive professional experience architecting, developing, and administrating enterprise-level database infrastructures and data pipelines.

Azure Cloud Technical Mastery: Extensive, hands-on expert experience utilizing Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Pipelines, Azure DevOps, Storage Accounts, Azure Key Vault, Azure Portal, Virtual Machines, and Azure Monitoring tools.

Advanced Lakehouse & Big Data Literacy: Confirmed expertise designing, building, and operating big data environments, specifically utilizing Data Lake and Data Lakehouse architectures.

Relational & Analytical Database Expertise: Proven track record configuring, optimizing, and administrating Oracle, Microsoft Azure SQL Database, and Synapse Database ecosystems.

Database Devops & Automation Skills: Deep practical proficiency developing automated cloud-based database release tracks utilizing DACPAC and automated backup/recovery scripts.

Complex Backend Programming: High proficiency writing, debugging, and tuning complex, high-performance Oracle PL/SQL routines and SQL Server stored procedures.

Data Modeling Tooling: Working knowledge of designing structural logical and physical data frameworks using modeling software such as Sybase PowerDesigner.

Communication & Documentation: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of authoring detailed system designs and facilitating knowledge-transfer sessions.
