Job description
EM Dynamics is a precision manufacturing company specializing in complex metal fabrication, CNC machining, assembly, and custom manufacturing solutions. We work with customers who require high-quality execution, strong communication, and reliable delivery across demanding projects. We are urgently hiring to lead customer programs from quote handoff through production, delivery, and ongoing account support. Position Overview The Program Manager will own strategic customer accounts and lead cross-functional execution across quoting, engineering, production, quality, and delivery. This role is responsible for customer satisfaction, on-time performance, program profitability, and long-term account growth. Key Responsibilities - Manage customer programs from project launch through production and delivery. - Serve as the main point of contact for customers on timelines, updates, issues, and deliverables. - Coordinate with engineering, production, purchasing, quality, and shipping teams. - Build and manage integrated project schedules, KPI dashboards, action trackers, and milestone reporting using ERP, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools. - Monitor project scope, cost, schedule, risks, and changes. - Ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated internally. - Identify project risks early and drive corrective actions. - Support quoting handoff, design-for-manufacturing discussions, and production planning. - Track open issues and ensure timely resolution across departments. - Lead internal program meetings and customer update meetings. - Help improve project management systems, processes, and reporting. - Support continuous improvement in delivery performance, communication, and customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications - PMP certification is required. - Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production schedules, quality requirements, and customer expectations. - Experience managing multiple projects or customer programs at the same time. - Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills. - Ability to work directly with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive accountability. - Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards), ERP/MRP systems, and project management tools. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar systems is strongly preferred. Preferred Experience - Experience in metal fabrication, CNC machining, welding, sheet metal, mechanical assemblies, automation, aerospace, defence, medical, industrial equipment, or custom manufacturing. - Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems. - Experience working with engineering drawings, BOMs, routers, purchase orders, and production schedules. - Experience managing new product introduction, prototype-to-production projects, or custom build programs. They use data to make decisions, communicate clearly under pressure, and can manage multiple priorities while protecting delivery, margin, and customer trust.
