Job Title: Storeroom Project Technician / Data Entry SpecialistJob DescriptionThis role combines hands-on storeroom organization with accurate data entry to support a clean, efficient, and well-managed MRO storeroom environment. You will clean and reorganize storerooms, maintain inventory records, and support maintenance and supply chain operations by ensuring that materials are easy to locate, properly stored, and accurately tracked. The position requires strong attention to detail, comfort with physical tasks, and proficiency with basic computer and inventory systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of MRO storerooms, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Organize inventory by categorizing items, labeling shelves, and ensuring proper storage practices are consistently followed.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining a systematic inventory management process, including tracking and reporting stock levels using computer-based tools.
- Conduct cycle counts and data entry to keep inventory records accurate and up to date.
- Support light material handling tasks, including moving and arranging parts and components as needed.
- Collaborate with maintenance and storeroom teams to understand their needs and preferences for storeroom layout and organization.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while working on-site, including adherence to OSHA standards.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service, maintaining positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Use a comprehensive understanding of hand tools involved in constructing and adjusting storeroom shelving units.
- Walk throughout the facility, including up to approximately 5 miles per day, to survey storeroom areas and perform walk-through quality inspections.
- Lift and move items weighing approximately 50–75 lbs safely and effectively as part of daily duties.
- Climb ladders and stairs in and around multi-story facilities to access storeroom areas and shelving.
- Perform housekeeping tasks in storerooms and shop floor areas to keep workspaces clean and aligned with OSHA and internal standards.
- Utilize CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office applications to record, update, and report on inventory and storeroom activities.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project timelines and support ongoing maintenance operations.
Essential Skills- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ideally 2 years of experience in storeroom management and/or logistics, warehouse, supply chain, or distribution environments.
- Proven experience in cleaning, organizing, or facilities management, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to safely lift and move items weighing approximately 50–75 lbs.
- Ability to walk long distances (up to approximately 5 miles per day) and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and moving items.
- Comfort with climbing ladders and stairs in multi-storied facilities.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with CMMS platforms such as SAP or MaintainX, or similar systems.
- Experience with inventory management systems and processes, including cycle counting and stock level tracking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Consistent adherence to safety procedures and regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Additional training or certification in facilities management or inventory management is a plus.
- Experience working in industrial and warehouse environments, particularly MRO storerooms.
- Familiarity with reorganizing storerooms and implementing improved storage layouts.
- Comfort performing general labor tasks in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Experience working closely with maintenance teams and suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to provide courteous and professional customer service to internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of hand tools used for constructing and adjusting shelving units.
- Experience with afternoon or shift-based work schedules.
- Ability to manage workload across multiple locations, such as multiple hangars, when needed.

Work Environment
This position is based in industrial and warehouse environments, including MRO storerooms and hangar facilities. You will work an afternoon shift from approximately 3:00 . to 11:30 ., aligned with active maintenance operations, and weekend work may be required across two hangars for part of the year. The role involves frequent walking throughout storeroom and shop floor areas, including up to about 5 miles per day, as well as regular lifting of items in the 50–75 lb range, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing housekeeping tasks to maintain OSHA-aligned cleanliness and safety. You will interact regularly with maintenance teams and suppliers, use CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office tools, and perform hands-on tasks such as organizing materials, building or adjusting shelving, and maintaining a tidy, well-structured storeroom.
