Job description
Key Job Responsibilities: - Support managers in all aspects of people leadership, including team development, performance management, and handling HR-related issues. - Supervision of Cambridge HR Manager. - Develop and maintain HR policies across all PLP Canada operations (Montreal and Cambridge), . - Provide HR counseling to managers and employees. - Assure legal compliance with applicable labour laws and best practices (Quebec and Ontario). - Administer benefit programs. - Work closely with management team to foster a positive work environment. - Provide strategic advisement to the Managing Director on people management and organizational development to support long-term growth and a strong employee experience. Reports to: Managing Director Primary work location: Montreal, QC Travel requirement: Regular travel to Cambridge, ON, operation Tasks & Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain employee manuals. - Oversee all aspects of the HR function. - Provide HR support to managers and employees. - Support managers through the full hiring cycle, including job postings, interviews, selection, and onboarding. - Assist managers with team development, performance management, coaching, and handling employee relations issues. - Be the 1st point of contact for employee incidents, disagreements, and resolutions. - Prepare bi-weekly payroll and monthly payroll/reconciliation journal entries. - Prepare year-end payroll reports, check T4 and R1 reports, and prepare summaries for both levels of government. - Manage group insurance records and employee requests. - Develop employee engagement program and coordinate activities. - Maintain and order the HR document filing system. - Manage communications with employees. Job Requirements: - Good working knowledge of Quebec and Ontario employment laws. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Excellent communication skills. - Strong collaborative and team skills. - Excellent attention to detail. - Able to work with precision and efficiency in tight deadlines. - Fully bilingual (English and French), written and spoken Experience / Education / Skillset: - 10 years experience in Human Resources. - Relevant training in Human Resources. - Proven track record of dealing with different employee situations (conflict, harassment, safety, employee support, etc.). - Organized and efficient with paper and electronic archiving. - Good knowledge of payroll and HRIS software (ADP). - Strong experience with Microsoft Office. - Ready to take on new tasks and new challenges. Relève du : Directeur général Lieu de travail principal : Montréal, QC Déplacements : Déplacements réguliers à l'usine de Cambridge, ON Tâches et responsabilités : - Élaborer et maintenir les manuels de l'employé. - Superviser tous les aspects de la fonction RH. - Offrir un soutien RH aux gestionnaires et aux employés. - Accompagner les gestionnaires tout au long du cycle d'embauche, incluant l'affichage de postes, les entrevues, la sélection et l'intégration. - Appuyer les gestionnaires dans le développement des équipes, la gestion de la performance, le coaching et la gestion des relations de travail. - Être le premier point de contact pour les incidents, différends et résolutions impliquant des employés. - Préparer la paie aux deux semaines ainsi que les écritures de journal mensuelles de paie et de conciliation. - Préparer les rapports de paie de fin d'année, vérifier les T4 et R1 et préparer les sommaires pour les deux paliers de gouvernement. - Gérer les dossiers d'assurance collective et les demandes des employés. - Développer le programme de mobilisation des employés et en coordonner les activités. - Maintenir et approvisionner le système de classement des documents RH. - Gérer les communications avec les employés. Exigences du poste : - Bonne connaissance pratique des lois du travail du Québec et de l'Ontario. - Excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles. - Excellentes habiletés de communication. - Fortes aptitudes à la collaboration et au travail d'équipe. - Excellent souci du détail. - Capacité à travailler avec précision et efficacité dans des délais serrés. - Parfaitement bilingue (français et anglais), à l'oral comme à l'écrit. Expérience / Formation / Compétences : - 10 ans d'expérience en ressources humaines. - Formation pertinente en ressources humaines. - Expérience démontrée dans la gestion de diverses situations liées aux employés (conflits, harcèlement, sécurité, soutien aux employés, etc.). - Personne organisée et efficace dans l'archivage papier et électronique. - Bonne connaissance des logiciels de paie et HRIS (ADP). - Solide expérience avec la suite Microsoft Office. - Prêt à relever de nouveaux défis et à prendre en charge de nouvelles tâches. Horaire de travail : - Poste permanent à temps plein. - Horaire de 8 h à 17 h, 40 heures par semaine.
