Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid, 4 days onsite) Language: English, strong written and verbal communication required Background Check Requirement: Employment verification and reference checks required About the Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognized organization in the renewable energy sector, playing a key role in advancing financial transparency and supporting a sustainable future. As a Senior Financial Analyst, External Reporting, you will contribute to the integrity and accuracy of external financial reporting, working closely with experienced leaders and cross-functional teams across multiple regions. You will be part of a collaborative and high-performing finance team that operates at the intersection of technical accounting and strategic reporting. This role offers strong exposure to senior leadership, complex accounting matters, and global operations, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. What’s In It for You • A culture that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement • High visibility with senior leadership and exposure to global operations • Opportunities to deepen technical accounting expertise and reporting skills • A workplace that supports flexibility while rewarding accountability and results Your Responsibilities • You’ll prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including notes and supporting analysis • You’ll contribute to the preparation of MD&A, ensuring accuracy of financial and non-GAAP disclosures • You’ll research complex accounting issues and develop technical memos and position papers for senior leadership and external auditors • You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to gather and validate financial data for reporting and consolidation • You’ll act as a key point of contact for external auditors, responding to inquiries and supporting audit processes • You’ll analyze financial results, explain variances, and support management reporting • You’ll coach and support junior analysts, helping guide their development and day-to-day work Skills and Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or external financial reporting within a publicly listed organization • CPA designation with strong knowledge of IFRS, experience with US GAAP is an asset • Proven experience preparing financial statements, MD&A, and technical accounting documentation • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly • Experience with tools such as Workiva or Oracle consolidation systems is an asset Note from the Hiring Manager "We’re looking for someone who is resourceful, agile and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
