Job descriptionJob Title: Operations Associate Company: Kasu Capital / Rev Whisper Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada Workplace Type: On-site — Downtown Hamilton Office Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Real Estate / Technology Salary Range: $75,000 – $100,000 CAD We are looking for a generalist. Not a specialist. Not someone who wants to do one thing for the next three years. Someone who is sharp, curious, and wants to be in the middle of everything — operations, clients, data, technology, and the business itself. This role reports directly to senior leadership and sits at the center of how we run and grow. If you have been told your whole career to pick a lane, this is your chance to ignore that advice. About Us Kasu Capital is a luxury short-term rental company managing a portfolio of high-end vacation properties across multiple markets in the US and Canada. We operate at the intersection of real estate, hospitality, and technology — and we take all three seriously. RevWhisper is our technology arm — an AI-powered managed service that helps independent Airbnb hosts earn significantly more from their listings through proprietary rank-tracking technology, data-driven dynamic pricing strategy, and hands-on listing optimization. We built the tools ourselves, we run the service ourselves, and we are growing it aggressively. This role spans both businesses. Some days you are managing revenue strategy for our own Kasu Capital portfolio of luxury properties. Other days you are onboarding a new RevWhisper client, coordinating listing improvements, or helping build the systems that power our service. You will have visibility into how both sides work and real influence over both. We are a small, tight-knit team. We move fast, build our own tools, and expect everyone to think like an owner. There is no waiting for permission here. The Role This is a hands-on generalist position at the intersection of revenue management, client success, operations, and technology. You will touch all of these — often in the same week. You will learn our proprietary revenue management framework from the ground up and eventually own it across both the Kasu Capital portfolio and RevWhisper client accounts. You will onboard new clients, manage ongoing relationships, run listing optimization pipelines, and oversee a team of virtual assistants. You will have direct access to senior leadership and genuine room to grow as the business scales. You'll learn more about short-term rental revenue management in 6 months here than most people learn in 5 years. We'll teach you our system. You'll own it. What You'll Own - Dynamic pricing and revenue strategy across the Kasu Capital luxury STR portfolio and RevWhisper client accounts - Client onboarding for RevWhisper — getting new hosts set up, walking them through our process, and making sure they see results from day one - Ongoing client communication and performance reporting for RevWhisper clients - Listing optimization pipeline — coordinating photography, copy, and platform best practices across managed listings - Overseeing multiple virtual assistants — keeping day-to-day operations running efficiently and holding the team accountable without hand-holding - Identifying operational gaps across both businesses and bringing solutions forward proactively - Staying current on AI tools, automation platforms, and STR industry developments and applying them where they create real leverage Who You Are - A fast learner who figures things out independently — you do not wait to be told - Comfortable with data and numbers — you can look at a spreadsheet, understand what it is telling you, and act on it - Good on calls — you can hold a client conversation and present results confidently - Genuinely excited about AI tools and already using them in your own work — not because a job told you to - Someone who brings opinions forward — we want ideas, not just execution - Someone who wants to work hard because they are building something, not just filling a seat - An owner — when something is yours, it gets done, no reminders needed Great to Have We do not require any of the following, but the right person will feel a genuine pull toward most of them. These are the things that will make you not just good at this job but energized by it every day. - A passion for real estate — you find property, markets, and investment strategy genuinely interesting, not just professionally relevant - A love of hospitality — you care about the guest experience, the details that make a stay memorable, and what it means to run a property well - A natural inclination toward client care — you get real satisfaction from helping someone succeed and you take their results personally - Excitement about technology and AI — you follow what is happening in the space, experiment with new tools on your own, and think about how they apply to real problems - Comfort with data and analytics — you like digging into numbers, spotting patterns, and using information to make better decisions - Any background in short-term rentals, property management, hospitality, or revenue management — not required but will give you a running start Background No specific degree or credential required. We care about how you think and what you have done. Backgrounds in business, hospitality, real estate, analytics, or operations tend to fit well. Early-career candidates who are hungry to grow are just as welcome as those with a few years of experience who want more ownership and autonomy than their current role allows. Before You Apply One thing we'll ask you about in your first conversation: AI is starting to change how travelers discover and book short-term rentals. Do some digging before we talk — we're curious what you think it means for hosts.
