P&R Truck Centre Ltd, doing business as Velocity Truck Centre Canada, is growing and looking to add qualified Heavy Duty / Commercial Transport Technicians to the team! We have openings in our Saanichton, Langford, Duncan and Nanaimo locations.
Working in our shop, the Heavy Duty / Commercial Transport Technicians will contribute in one of Canada's best managed companies.

Compensation Plan
- Competitive Base wages (depends on experience and certifications - , Red Seal and CVI Ticket).

Primary Job Functions
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repairs, and maintain a variety of hydraulic truck mounted equipment.
- Trouble shoot, diagnose, repairs, and maintain a variety of equipment ranging cranes, bucket trucks and hi rail.
- Report to Foreman and Service management to assist with customer communication and satisfaction.
- Ability to type out detailed stories of repairs to be caried forward or completed.
- Ability to keep a clean and safe workspace.
- Maintain efficient and accurate workmanship in a safe and professional environment.
Qualifications
- Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman Certificate (Apprentice level 4 technician will be considered)
- BC Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 with air brakes or Class 1 is considered an asset)
- Mechanically inclined with a strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
- Customer service focused with effective communication skills.
- Must be a motivated able to work in a fast paced, detailed, and processed driven environment .
- Ability to work in a physical capacity including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
- Use of computerized scanning equipment, able to use digital technology / mechanical software.
