Job description
Kelly Services is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our client located in Cambridge, ON in their transportation operations team on a 6-month temporary basis, with the potential for extension. This role is ideal for someone with transportation, logistics, or dispatch coordination experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Please note: this is a floater position, meaning that this schedule would pertain the following:
Friday and Saturday 1:30PM-10:00PM + Additional shifts for coverage (40 hrs per week) (OT paid after 44 hours/week, unless approved by Manager) , 30-min unpaid lunch


Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Input and retrieve load data within internal systems
  • Review load information and assess ability to complete shipments based on fleet and carrier availability
  • Communicate with internal teams, drivers, carriers, and customers to ensure accurate and timely information sharing
  • Track and trace shipments (domestic/cross-border), ensuring compliance with designated destinations
  • Provide loading and delivery instructions to facilities and drivers
  • Calculate trip mileage and track fuel use, repairs, and other trip-related expenses
  • Access and analyze database inputs and queries
  • Support expense and revenue reporting
  • Ensure all internal and external systems are updated within established timelines
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Complete reporting and provide ongoing insights and analysis


Qualifications & Required Skills:
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatch operations.
  • Experience with dispatch or transportation software ie. Samara, TMS is considered an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within multiple systems and handle data entry tasks
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment
