Job description
We’d like to welcome a part time nanny into our family, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:30pm starting in May. Our son has been accepted into preschool starting in September. We are a family of three (mom, dad and 2 year old boy) who live in the Royal Oak neighbourhood. We both work from home and have a playful, gentle approach to raising our son. Mornings include a focus on learning through play, reading and discovering. We are close to parks, so there will be opportunities to explore outdoors as well. We limit screen time and encourage independent play. We will need help feeding breakfast and lunch, however, the meal will be prepped beforehand. Work details: • Part time, live out nanny, 8:30am – 12:30pm Mon-Fri • $23/hr • One week paid time off • 5 sick days • Paid holidays • Paid by direct deposit with taxes withheld Experience and Education Requirements: • First Aid/CPR certification • 3 or more years experience • Prefer some college, Early Childhood Education coursework is an asset • Vaccination status up to date (doesn’t have to include COVID) • Licensed and insured driver • Conversational English (can be first or second language) Responsibilities: • Day-to-day care of our son (bathroom, feeding etc.). No known allergies (but currently avoiding shellfish due to family history), no medical conditions. • General activity planning to guide age appropriate learning • Lots of reading and play Successful applicants will asked to provide at least two references and pass a background check.
