Co-op, Assistant Coordinator, Design

We are currently looking for a co-op student to assist our project design team on a transformative major civil project in the GTA. This is an 8 month co-op opportunity. What You’ll Do Here:

• Assist with the completion of design calculations and drawings that satisfy all the applicable code and regulation requirements
• Assist in the preparation of schedules, estimates and construction packages
• Maintain files and correspondence on active and completed projects
• Assist in the coordination, and submission of as-built drawings
• Gather field information and assist in the preparation of project bill of materials
• Administrative duties such as filing, typing copying, binding, scanning and plotting
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required

What You Bring to the Team:

• Currently enrolled in a university or technical college diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Experience in the construction industry is a strong asset
• Excellent interpersonal communication (both oral and written) skills
• Strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated
• Thrive in a fast paced environment
• Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines
• AUTO CAD skills an asset

Reason for Vacancy: New The expected pay range for this role is $23 - $28 per hour Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
