This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online job. No relocation package is offered. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
Responsibilities (Position Details):
As the Teacher Administrator you participate in the centre's operations, including working with multiple people from centre staff to teachers, to parents, and of course, the students! You will work directly with the Centre Manager and Education Coordinator as a key staff member with the following responsibilities:
- help inform inquiring parents about our Oxford Learning programs
- closing routines, including maintaining cleanliness and organization within the centre
- set up and administer assessments
- establish and oversee student learning programs
- maintain contact with parents and meet with them to discuss their child's progress
- ensure that the Oxford Learning philosophy is being maintained throughout the centre
- create a fun and energetic learning environment on a daily basis
- effectively master the Oxford Learning Teaching philosophy as well as coach other teaching members of the team

- comfortable talking on the phone and discussing features of our program, and following up with prospective clients
- available afternoons / evenings Monday through Thursday and on Saturday mornings
Must Haves:
- University degree (4th year students will be considered)
- Native English speaker: ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Experience working in customer service
Nice to Haves:
- Teaching certification in BC / Bachelor of Education
- Experience working in an educational environment
- Written and oral communication skills in French, Punjabi, or Hindi
- Strong secondary math and science skills (not a requirement, but an asset!)
- Experience working with students with a variety of Learning Disabilities, including, but not limited to: ADHD, ASD, FASD, MID, Dyslexia, and a variety of specific learning disabilities in communication, writing, etc.

- You will be teaching 2 days per week and working as an administrator 2 days per week
- You will be required to work evenings (until 8pm) and most Saturday mornings

Job Type: Part-Time (20 - 25 hours per week)
Salary: $19 - $21 / hour
Schedule:
- We are open Monday through Thursday from 10am - 8pm; most shifts will be 3pm-8pm
- Saturday mornings from 9am to 2pm
