Our client, a large and well-established manufacturing organization, is seeking a hands-on Senior Project Manager to lead major capital projects and drive operational improvements within one of their most critical facilities.
This is not a desk-only project management role.
This position is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys being on the production floor, and takes true ownership of projects from concept through commissioning. The successful candidate will be highly visible within the operation and comfortable working directly alongside plant leadership, maintenance, contractors, and production teams.
This role offers the opportunity to manage projects ranging from tens of thousands of dollars up to $30M+ while helping shape one of the company’s fastest-growing departments.

Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 + Bonus
- 16.5% annual bonus based on company performance

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Managing capital projects from cradle to grave: Concept development; Budgeting and cost tracking; Managing RFPs and vendor negotiations; Project execution; Commissioning and final handoff
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for plant equipment and services
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on: Productivity; Efficiency; Process optimization; Food safety
- Partnering closely with Plant Managers and operational leadership to improve overall plant performance
- Working with contractors, trades, and regulatory/government bodies for permitting and approvals
- Prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic production environment

Environment & Culture
This role is based within a large-scale food manufacturing and processing facility. The environment is highly operational, fast-paced, and requires someone comfortable spending significant time on the production floor.
The expectation is that this person will become deeply integrated into the operation by:
- Walking the floor regularly
- Building relationships across departments
- Understanding how the plant functions day-to-day
- Maintaining direct visibility on projects rather than managing remotely
Success in this role means becoming a trusted and recognized presence within the facility.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of progressive engineering/technical experience within manufacturing
- Minimum 5 years managing capital projects
- Strong technical and project management background
- Manufacturing experience is required
- Experience within food or perishable goods manufacturing is strongly preferred
