Reporting to the Bakery Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
• Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels
• Design and decorate cakes according to customer orders and Lake Country Co-operative standards.
• Arrange and display decorated cakes in an attractive manner, both in the display cases and on special occasions
• Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department
• Efficiently manage time to fulfill customer orders promptly while maintaining the quality of work
• Maintain and display all types of bakery products according to department standards
• Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf at all times; follow first in first out.
• Take cake orders and cake writing as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who You Are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service:
• You have previous experience as a cake decorator or in a related field; you have knowledge of various cake decorating techniques and trends
• You have artistic ability and creative flair to design visually appealing cakes
• You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and are proud of the work that you do
• You are well organized, and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
• You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices
• Ability to lift and load products: extensive physical labour is required
• Flexible work schedule; weekend and evening work is required
