The Role
As the Project Coordinator, you will support the successful execution of heavy civil infrastructure projects from pre-construction through project completion.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to help coordinate project activities, maintain documentation, support scheduling, and ensure projects are progressing efficiently.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that offers strong mentorship and exposure to all aspects of civil project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination
- Assist with project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress tracking
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries
- Maintain project schedules, reports, and tracking logs
- Assist with cost tracking, budgeting, and quantity take-offs
- Support procurement and project administration activities
- Attend site meetings and assist with project communication between office and field teams
- Ensure project documentation is current and organized
- Assist with health & safety documentation and compliance requirements
- Help identify and resolve project coordination issues proactively
- Support project closeout and turnover activities
Who You Are
- 2+ years of Project Coordination experience in heavy civil or infrastructure construction
- Experience supporting projects involving:
- Sewer & watermain
- Underground utilities
- Road construction
- Deep excavation
- Municipal or infrastructure projects
- Civil Engineering Technology diploma, Construction Engineering, or related education is considered an asset
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in fast-paced construction environments
- Proficient with construction documentation and project coordination processes
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and project management software
- Team-oriented with a proactive and professional attitude
- Willingness to travel and work rotational project schedules
