This organization delivers complex, technically challenging projects across Canada, supporting a diverse range of industrial clients within the transportation, industrial, energy, and environmental sectors. With a deeply collaborative and people‑first culture, the company brings together collective expertise to protect, optimize, and extend the life of critical infrastructure and assets. Employees are supported by a workplace culture that is inclusive, flexible, and human‑centered—one that values trust, integrity, innovation, and continuous learning. The Opportunity As part of the Asset Integrity & Reliability Management team, you will work alongside highly experienced and well‑rounded engineers focused on preventing equipment and structural failures throughout the full lifecycle of critical industrial assets. This is a hands‑on role combining fieldwork and office‑based engineering, offering exposure to a wide variety of heavy industrial facilities and infrastructure. With an expanding portfolio of large and complex projects across Canada, this position provides an excellent opportunity to deepen technical expertise, take on increasing responsibility, and grow into leadership roles over time. The role operates in a hybrid environment and includes short‑term travel for site inspections at industrial facilities. • Prepare technical reports, design calculations, assessment documents, repair and rehabilitation packages, and construction drawings in accordance with applicable codes and standards
  • Participate as an Engineer of Record, as part of a multidisciplinary team, performing condition inspections and structural assessments for multiple facilities and clients
  • Conduct site visits and on‑site construction reviews, providing practical engineering solutions and recommendations
  • Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and third parties to ensure quality project delivery and build strong professional relationships
  • Contribute to project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, proposal development, and project management activities
  • Participate in internal technical reviews to ensure design quality, safety, and constructability
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers as part of a collaborative team environment
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia
  • Approximately 5–10 years of structural engineering experience, preferably within industrial or heavy infrastructure environments
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian design codes and standards for steel, concrete, and timber structures (CSA, NBCC)
  • Familiarity with U.S. design standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE) considered an asset
  • Experience with structural analysis and design software such as RISA, SAP2000, or STAAD
  • Exposure to AutoCAD and/or Revit is beneficial
  • Proven experience performing field investigations, condition assessments, and/or construction reviews
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to undertake short‑term travel to industrial job sites
  • Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license
Why Join? This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy variety, technical challenge, and continuous learning. You can expect:
  • Exposure to large, complex industrial and infrastructure projects across Canada
  • A strong balance of field and office work
  • Access to ongoing professional development, mentorship, and career advancement pathways
  • A values‑driven, inclusive, and flexible work environment that prioritizes well‑being and collaboration
  • Opportunities to grow into senior technical and leadership roles over time
Commitment to Inclusion The organization is committed to equal access to employment and fostering a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace. Applications are strongly encouraged from individuals of all backgrounds, including women, people from culturally diverse communities, people with disabilities, members of LGBTQIA2+ communities, Indigenous Peoples, and individuals from historically underrepresented groups. #ONEN
