Job description
POSITION: Refrigeration Technician JOB TYPE: Full Time LOCATION: Grande Prairie, Alberta SALARY/WAGE: $30.00-$50.00/hour JOB SUMMARY: The Agency is assisting Indoor Elements Mechanical in the recruitment of a Refrigeration Technician(Journeyman or 3rd Year Apprentice) to join their team in response to a growing workload. For over 30 years, Indoor Elements Mechanical has been a trusted name in Grande Prairie and the surrounding area. Indoor Elements Mechanical is a locally owned and operated company, built on quality workmanship, honest service, and a deep commitment to the community. Indoor Elements Mechanical delivers reliable plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical solutions designed to withstand Peace Country’s demanding conditions. This role is ideal for a skilled Journeyman or motivated Apprentice who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to delivering exceptional service across both residential and commercial HVAC systems. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct thorough inspections and troubleshooting of HVAC systems Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of HVAC equipment Repair or replace defective components (compressors, motors, controls, etc.) Install new HVAC systems and complete retrofits on existing equipment Maintain accurate documentation of service visits, materials used, and work completed Communicate clearly with team members to support efficient scheduling and customer service Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and industry standards Interact with customers in a courteous, professional manner, explaining findings, repair options, and pricing REQUIREMENTS: Journeyman certification or registered Apprentice status (3rd year or higher preferred) Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team Excellent communication and customer service skills Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism BENEFITS: Competitive Wages Health Benefits Steady, year-round work with a growing company A team-first culture where your skills and well-being matter JOB POSTING INFORMATION: Submit your resume and cover letter to The Agency at recruiter@theagency212.com.
