This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to gain experience in the agriculture industry and build a career in farming. As a General Farm Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and operation of the farm. This includes but is not limited to planting, harvesting, irrigating, and maintaining crops, as well as caring for livestock and maintaining farm equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Plant, cultivate, and harvest crops according to farm schedules and procedures - Operate and maintain farm equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems - Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of livestock, including feeding, watering, and cleaning as needed - Perform general farm maintenance and repairs, such as fencing, building repairs, and equipment maintenance - Assist with the loading and unloading of farm products and supplies - Keep accurate records of daily activities and report any issues or concerns to the farm manager - Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment Overview Languages English Education No degree, certificate or diploma Experience Experience an asset Responsibilities Tasks Pick row and orchard crops Clean work area Fertilize and spray crops Harvest crops Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market Why Work for Us: - Opportunity for growth and advancement within the company - Competitive salary and benefits package - Work in a beautiful and peaceful location in British Columbia, Canada - Be a part of a dynamic and supportive team If you are passionate about agriculture and looking for a fulfilling career opportunity, then we want to hear from you!
