Working closely withIT Disaster Recovery, technology service owners, and cyber and information security partners, you’ll ensure technology and data resilience requirements are clearly defined, tested, and remediated where gaps exist—helping protect our customers, operations, and reputation.

  • Lead and/or support Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and related recovery requirement discussions to define recovery needs and prioritization.

  • Partner with IT Disaster Recovery and technology teams to align recovery strategies and procedures to business resilience requirements.

  • Identify risks to service delivery (e.g., technology outages, cyber incidents, data integrity/availability issues, third-party failures, location impacts) and define mitigation and recovery actions with accountable owners.

  • Assess, monitor, and report resilience risks, key metrics, and remediation status, escalating concerns where gaps could materially impact recovery expectations.

  • Support testing and validation activities to confirm recovery plans and approaches are practical, current, and effective.

  • Support crisis management activities as needed, including incident inputs, coordination support, and post-incident lessons learned and continuous improvement actions.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in operational resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, technology risk, or related disciplines, ideally within financial services or insurance.

  • Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory expectations for operational resilience, including OSFI E-21 and related technology/cyber risk management expectations.

  • Strong technology background, including experience with dependency mapping (applications/infrastructure), recovery requirements (time and data loss objectives), and testing/validation approaches for technology and data recovery.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with IT and business collaborators, translate technical details into clear business impacts, and influence remediation activities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, results-focused approach.
