The Municipal Group of Companies, based in Bedford, Nova Scotia, is a large, diversified organization engaged in all major aspects of heavy civil construction, mining and environmental services within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking a determined, skilled individual with the expertise of a System Administrator to join our team in IT based out of Bedford, NS.
Job Summary:
The System Administrator will be part of a team that supports all IT infrastructure within the Municipal Group of companies. The systems team enables users to perform their critical business operations through an on-prem and cloud environments.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
You will deploy, configure, maintain and support the following but not limited to:
- Network Infrastructure
- Virtual and on-premise servers/file shares
- Microsoft 365 and Intune Management Platforms
- SQL Server and Database management
- Business Critical Apps and Software
- Azure Entra ID and Active Directory
- Virtual Desktops
- Access Control and Phone management systems
- Domain controllers and Sync clients
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:
- Expert on Windows computer, Microsoft Applications, Apple iOS
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and the Azure Portal
- Comfortable in the Microsoft 365 portal and Intune MDM
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Strong oral and written communication skills; able to communicate with all levels of staff, management, and executive
- High attention to detail, with pride, passion, professionalism, and accountability
- Strong Cisco Networking understanding and competency
- Light travel duties required
- Must be able to work in an office Monday to Friday (Not a remote position)
