Schneider Electric is looking for a
Switchgear Quotation Specialist – Medium & Low Voltage
to join our team in
Dollard‑des‑Ormeaux, Québec . In this role, you will develop accurate, competitive, and customer‑focused quotations for product and project orders while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
You will act as a key technical and commercial link between Sales, Technical Leads, Tender Managers, and customers—translating technical requirements into optimized switchgear solutions.
Your impact
Deliver high‑quality quotations that balance technical accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability.
Influence customer success by recommending optimized solutions aligned with application needs.
Act as a subject matter expert and ambassador for medium‑ and low‑voltage switchgear.
Contribute to continuous improvement of quotation strategies and processes.
What you will do
Prepare quotations for product and project orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review RFQs to assess scope clarity, technical feasibility, risk, profitability, and timelines.
Collaborate with Tender Managers, Technical Leads, and Sales to align on requirements and optimizations.
Match products to customer specifications and drawings using strong product knowledge.
Review customer drawings and specifications to ensure technical compliance and competitiveness.
Analyze, document, and communicate contractual and technical terms and conditions.
Prepare lists of clarifications, deviations, and exceptions, and complete data sheets to define scope and mitigate risk.
Stay informed on market conditions and quotation strategies.
Identify opportunities to improve quotation processes and measure their effectiveness.
Participate in internal and external meetings during project execution, as required.
Required
Diploma or degree in Electrical / Electronics, or equivalent relevant experience.
Strong experience and knowledge of medium‑ and low‑voltage switchgear.
Quotation and product selection experience, preferably within the electrical industry.
Ability to read and interpret single‑line diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proven written and verbal communication skills.
Functional knowledge of English and French is required. Must be able to work with stakeholders located in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and internationally.
Additional considerations
Ability to work under pressure.
Availability for occasional late hours or weekend work to meet deadlines.
