Job description
Artists are invited by the City of Pickering to create a series of engaging street banners for their Community Banner Series. This opportunity is open to both emerging and established artists and teams. The City of Pickering seeks creative proposals for seven vibrant street banners that will enhance the urban landscape. Artists, whether individuals or collectives, are encouraged to express their unique vision digitally. The City will handle the fabrication and installation of the banners, while artists manage their own materials and design costs. Key Responsibilities: • Create seven unique digital street banner designs • Submit proposals for a public art project • Collaborate with the City for final design approvals • Ensure designs reflect community engagement and welcome • Coordinate all required materials and artistic vision Requirements: • Open to individual artists, teams, or collectives • Experience with public art preferred • Ability to provide digital artwork and designs • Familiarity with City of Pickering’s Public Art Policy • Commitment to local community engagement through art This is a unique chance to showcase your artwork and enhance the City of Pickering’s streetscape. #J-18808-Ljbffr
