Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Senior DevOps Specialist to support enterprise banking applications within a secure and high availability environment. The successful consultant will bring strong expertise in CI/CD, DevSecOps, Azure cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and automation, with hands on experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, Tekton, Argo CD, Nexus, AKS, and OpenShift. This role will focus on building and enhancing deployment pipelines, improving operational efficiency through automation, supporting production environments, and contributing technical expertise within Agile Scrum teams. ResponsibilitiesThe Consultant will be responsible for providing the following Services:
•Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
•Build scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency and release management
•Support DevSecOps practices, version control, artifact management, and build/release pipelines
•Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and OpenShift environments
•Support production operations, high availability environments, and application resiliency initiatives
•Resolve complex operational and infrastructure related issues across enterprise applications
•Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams, internal stakeholders, and technical subject matter experts
•Manage containerized applications and cloud based deployments within Microsoft Azure
•Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, tooling, and best practices
•Support environment management, system upgrades, patching, scaling, and performance optimization
QualificationsRequired Qualifications & Skills:
•University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field
•Minimum 7 years of experience in application development, systems integration, and DevOps/CI/CD environments
•Minimum 5 years of hands on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud solutions
•Strong experience with DevSecOps practices, automation, version control, and deployment pipelines
•Hands on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, Tekton, Argo CD, Nexus, and Azure Container Registry
•Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes environments including AKS and Red Hat OpenShift
•Strong knowledge of containerization, cloud native technologies, and enterprise production support
•Experience with build automation and dependency management tools such as Maven and Gradle
•Proven ability to streamline operational processes through automation and best practices
•Experience supporting high availability and resilient enterprise environments
•Knowledge of YAML, Helm, Kustomize, SQL, Java, Node.js, and Unix scripting is considered an asset
•Experience with CyberArk, AppViewX, AMQ, and Spring Integration is considered an asset
