This student position will provide support to the Operational Excellence team in implementing and maintaining training and competency processes across the business. The role will provide assistance to the team in multiple areas. This will provide an excellent opportunity for exposure to operational excellence improvements, as well as Training and Competency programs in the offshore oil and gas industry.

What you’ll do
Planning, reporting and monitoring progress of improvement initiatives
Preparation of information for strategy sessions
Development of communication material
Development of stakeholder maps
Inputting information into internal database
Developing and updating process flowcharts
Coordinating weekly team meetings
Development of monthly program reports
Development of presentations for internal use
Providing overall support to the team
Assist in tracking and reporting training and competency compliance
Help organize and update documentation for competency assessments
Support the maintenance of department matrices and related records
Assist in coordinating updates to eLearning modules with Subject Matter Experts
Help prepare and streamline training materials and procedures
Providing overall support to the team
Who you are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
Available to begin work in September 2026
Strong coordination, organizational and communication skills.
Energetic, outgoing and a skilled multi-tasker.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Interest in learning about Change management, project planning and continuous improvement processes.

Education
Must be enrolled in a Business Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
