Job description
Join the Town of Whitby as a Temporary Animal Services Officer, focusing on animal care and community education in a hybrid work environment. Ensure compliance with by-laws and support animal welfare initiatives. This role, expected to last up to three months, provides vital support in Animal Services under the guidance of the Supervisor of By-law. You will engage with the community, offering advice and ensuring the humane treatment of animals in care. Your efforts will enhance the Animal Services team's impact. Key Responsibilities: • Enforce Animal Control By-laws effectively • Provide care and emergency assistance for animals • Maintain municipal animal shelter cleanliness • Educate the public on animal issues • Perform administrative support duties Requirements: • Post-secondary diploma/degree in relevant subjects • Minimum of three years in law enforcement or animal care • Familiar with relevant legislation and animal welfare • Strong Microsoft Office skills • Class 'G' Driver's License with clean record Contribute your skills in animal care and service to the community with the Town of Whitby. #J-18808-Ljbffr
