STRATEGIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Sr. Manager, Business Architecture is accountable for establishing, governing, and evolving UFA’s business architecture and process governance model to ensure that operating models are well-defined, the right problems are solved, solutions are well-defined and executable, and governance provides the discipline and visibility required for successful execution—while business leaders remain accountable for adoption and performance outcomes.
This role translates strategy by bridging process, data, and technology, ensuring that all transformation and process efforts at UFA are grounded in clear problem definition and outcome-based thinking, preventing solution-first approaches and driving higher quality, more effective business outcomes that generate value.
The Sr. Manager leads the development of the enterprise value stream and capabilities model, processes taxonomy, governance framework, and initiative intake model, ensuring UFA invests in the right initiatives and executes them effectively.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS Business Architecture Strategy & Alignment
Define and evolve UFA’s business architecture framework
Translate enterprise strategy into business architecture roadmaps and priorities
Defines and evolves UFA’s future state business and operating models to support enterprise strategy and long-term capability development
Partner with senior leaders to identify transformation opportunities and investment priorities
Ensure business architecture and process initiatives are developed with stakeholders, not imposed
Provide architectural guidance to ensure initiatives deliver business value and strategic alignment
Governance Development & Leadership
Define standards for problem definition, root cause, and outcomes
Design and operate governance model (roles, decision rights, cadence, evaluation criteria)
Establish clear ownership for value streams, outcomes and adoption
Establish process standards (BPMN, KPIs, controls)
Implement lifecycle governance (intake → improvement)
Ensure governance adoption and compliance
Initiative Intake, Definition & Prioritization
Establish structured, problem-first intake process
Ensure initiatives are clearly defined (problem, scope, outcomes, value)
Align initiatives to strategy and architecture principles
Support prioritization with PMO and leadership
Maintain traceability from strategy to outcomes
Value Stream, Process & Capability Framework
Define and maintain enterprise value streams, capability model, and enabling process taxonomies
Establish common process language
Align process, capability, data, and systems
Drive standardization for integration and scalability
End-to-End Process Design Oversight & Value Realization
Ensure designs are practical, adoptable, outcome-driven and scalable
Focus on removing friction and identifying automation opportunities
Ensure alignment with systems and data
Ensure linkage between problem, design, and outcomes
Monitor adoption, performance, and benefits
Leadership & Influence
Act as strategic advisor to shape strategy through process and transformation
Align business, IT, data, and PMO stakeholders while maintaining clear ownership boundaries
Facilitate resolution of cross-functional conflicts (process, prioritization, design trade-offs)
Influence senior leaders with clarity and pragmatism
Lead and develop Business Architecture team
Build capability in problem definition and process thinking
Establish governance discipline across the organization
Experience & Capabilities
Post Secondary Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related fields
10–15+ years experience in business architecture, process transformation, or operating model design
Proven experience establishing or leading enterprise process governance
Experience aligning business strategy with process, data, and technology execution
Strong understanding of end-to-end process with a focus to simplify, reduce friction and identify automation opportunities
Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional transformation initiatives
Strong experience with process and capability modeling, ERP implementation and leading practices
Experience leading teams and developing capability
Enterprise thinking and systems mindset
Strong strategic + execution balance
Governance and decision-making discipline
Advanced stakeholder influence and facilitation
Structured problem solving and critical thinking
