Job description
Join Brookfield Residential as a Tax Manager in Calgary, Alberta, where you will oversee Canadian tax compliance and reporting. Your expertise will help optimize tax strategies and lead a dynamic finance team.

In this pivotal role, reporting to the SVP of Taxation, you will be responsible for compliance with Canadian tax laws and enhancing the corporation's tax structure. Your leadership experience will ensure timely tax documentation and collaboration with internal departments and auditors. Expect to engage with senior leadership to identify tax opportunities while managing complex tax matters and foreign affiliate reporting.

Key Responsibilities: • Oversee preparation and filing of corporate tax returns • Implement tax planning strategies for optimization • Manage foreign affiliate reporting processes • Conduct in-depth tax research and provide recommendations • Collaborate on financial statement tax provisions

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA • 5+ years of corporate tax experience • Strong background in compliance and reporting • Knowledge of Canadian tax laws and cross-border transactions • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
