Job description

Role Overview

  • The Product Incubation Manager drives new software product ideas through the company’s incubation track, from early ideation to MVP realization.
  • The role focuses on accelerating innovation by structuring ideas, validating value propositions, and coordinating the development of early product versions.
  • The Product Incubation Manager works closely with industry teams, engineering leads, and the Product Owners responsible for the respective industry portfolios.
  • This collaboration ensures that new ideas are aligned with the existing portfolio and product strategy from the beginning.
  • Once an incubated product reaches a sufficient level of maturity and market validation, responsibility transitions fully to the Product Owner, who continues product development and scaling within the software product track.
  • The Product Incubation Manager then initiates the incubation of the next product idea.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive software product ideas through the defined incubation process from concept to MVP.
  • Facilitate ideation workshops and help shape and refine new product ideas.
  • Challenge assumptions, problem statements, and early business cases.
  • Work closely with industry teams to understand business needs and translate them into product concepts and MVP requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering leads during the realization of MVP solutions.
  • Act as the central interface between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate continuously with Product Owners to ensure alignment with industry portfolios and product strategy.
  • Track incubation progress, including effort estimates, timelines, and reporting, ensuring development activities remain aligned with plans and resource expectations.
  • Prepare and execute the transition of mature products into the software product track.
  • Contribute to improving and optimizing the company’s product incubation and innovation processes.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Informatics, Business Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration with technology focus, or a comparable field.
  • Around 5 years of professional experience in product development, innovation management, product management, Product Owner roles, or agile project management.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments connecting business stakeholders and software engineering teams.Solid understanding of Agile ways of working and software development processes.
  • Ability to structure complex topics, anticipate risks or obstacles, and proactively address issues early.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to handle escalations and complex stakeholder situations.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel in a dynamic environment.
  • Very good English language skills, written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • Experience working with software engineering teams in agile environments. Knowledge of industries such as Retail, Mining, Manufacturing, or Construction.
  • Familiarity with SAP environments or enterprise software ecosystems.
  • Personal ProfileStrong communicator who connects business and technical teams effectively.
  • Proactive and structured with a strong drive to move ideas forward.
  • Curious and analytical with an interest in innovation and product development.
  • Comfortable working in a global, cross-functional environment.


Aperçu du poste

Le/la Responsable de l’incubation produit pilote les nouvelles idées de produits logiciels à travers le processus d’incubation de l’entreprise, depuis l’idéation initiale jusqu’à la réalisation d’un MVP (produit minimum viable).

Le poste se concentre sur l’accélération de l’innovation en structurant les idées, en validant les propositions de valeur et en coordonnant le développement des premières versions des produits.

Le/la Responsable de l’incubation produit travaille en étroite collaboration avec les équipes métiers, les responsables techniques (engineering leads) et les Product Owners responsables des différents portefeuilles sectoriels.

Cette collaboration garantit que les nouvelles idées sont alignées dès le départ avec le portefeuille existant et la stratégie produit.

Une fois qu’un produit incubé atteint un niveau suffisant de maturité et de validation marché, la responsabilité est entièrement transférée au Product Owner, qui poursuit le développement et la montée en puissance du produit dans le cadre du cycle de vie logiciel.

Le/la Responsable de l’incubation produit initie alors l’incubation de la prochaine idée de produit.

Responsabilités principales

  • Piloter les idées de produits logiciels à travers le processus d’incubation défini, du concept jusqu’au MVP.
  • Animer des ateliers d’idéation et aider à structurer et affiner de nouvelles idées de produits.
  • Remettre en question les hypothèses, les problématiques identifiées et les premiers business cases.
  • Collaborer étroitement avec les équipes métiers afin de comprendre les besoins business et les traduire en concepts produits et exigences MVP.
  • Coordonner avec les responsables techniques lors de la réalisation des solutions MVP.
  • Agir comme interface centrale entre les parties prenantes métier et les équipes d’ingénierie.
  • Collaborer en continu avec les Product Owners afin d’assurer l’alignement avec les portefeuilles sectoriels et la stratégie produit.
  • Suivre l’avancement de l’incubation, y compris les estimations d’effort, les délais et le reporting, afin de garantir que les activités de développement restent alignées avec les plans et les attentes en matière de ressources.
  • Préparer et exécuter la transition des produits matures vers le cycle de développement produit logiciel.
  • Contribuer à l’amélioration et à l’optimisation des processus d’incubation produit et d’innovation de l’entreprise.

Qualifications requises

  • Diplôme universitaire en informatique de gestion, ingénierie d’affaires, systèmes d’information, administration des affaires avec une spécialisation technologique, ou domaine comparable.
  • Environ 5 ans d’expérience professionnelle en développement produit, gestion de l’innovation, gestion de produit, fonctions de Product Owner ou gestion de projet agile.
  • Expérience dans des environnements transverses reliant les parties prenantes métier et les équipes d’ingénierie logicielle.
  • Bonne compréhension des méthodes de travail Agile et des processus de développement logiciel.
  • Capacité à structurer des sujets complexes, anticiper les risques ou obstacles et traiter les problèmes de manière proactive dès les premières étapes.
  • Excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes et en prise de décision, y compris la capacité à gérer des escalades et des situations complexes avec les parties prenantes.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et en animation auprès d’équipes techniques et métiers.
  • Capacité à gérer plusieurs initiatives en parallèle dans un environnement dynamique.
  • Très bonne maîtrise de l’anglais, à l’écrit comme à l’oral.

Qualifications souhaitées

  • Expérience en tant que Product Owner ou Product Manager.
  • Expérience de collaboration avec des équipes d’ingénierie logicielle dans des environnements agiles.
  • Connaissance de secteurs tels que le Retail, l’exploitation minière, l’industrie manufacturière ou la construction.
  • Familiarité avec les environnements SAP ou les écosystèmes logiciels d’entreprise.
