Job description
Lead the first engineering team in Canada for a revolutionary online gambling brand. This hands-on role focuses on platform architecture, team building, and enhancing developer experience in a fully remote setup.

As the Engineering Manager, you will drive architectural decisions that impact scalability and system resilience. Your influence will span the design and implementation of a globally distributed platform while mentoring a small, dedicated team. With a commitment to performance, this role emphasizes low-latency user experiences and frictionless workflows for developers.

Key Responsibilities: • Own platform architecture decisions for scalability and resilience • Build a robust infrastructure for global distribution concerns • Establish rapid, reliable shipping paths for product engineers • Improve developer experience with faster builds and cleaner deploys • Write real code and support a small team who takes ownership

Requirements: • 7+ years in engineering with strong Python skills • Proven track record in leading backend or infrastructure teams • Experience designing resilient distributed systems • Familiarity with AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL, Terraform, and CI/CD • Comfortable in a remote, trust-based work environment
