Account Manager – Employee Benefits and Pension
to join our on‑site team in Regina, Saskatchewan. This role is responsible for managing and growing a diverse portfolio of employee benefits and pension programs, serving as a key liaison between Brandt, brokers, and plan sponsors to ensure programs remain compliant, cost‑effective, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Develop, implement and manage the pension and benefit programs and services for all groups across the Brandt network, including evaluation, market review, program design and administration.
Develop operational procedures and workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.
Ensure benefit plans and adjudication processes are administered according to plan provisions and guidelines.
Maintain benefit records by developing record‑keeping systems; prepare and distribute benefit reports.
Carry out quality assurance reviews of benefits‑related data to maintain accurate files.
Support ownership decision‑making by analyzing benefit options and predicting future costs and opportunities.
Develop and implement KPIs to facilitate service delivery and process enhancements.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assess the impact of regulatory changes on programs.
Provide senior specialized expertise and advice to senior management, leading or participating in initiatives as directed.
Manage reporting staff, including selection, development, coaching, performance management, and assignment/review of work.
Ensure staff is adequately cross‑trained.
Other duties as assigned.
What We Look For
Postsecondary education and a minimum of 5 years of pension and benefits management experience.
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation or enrollment noted as an asset.
Strong understanding of the principles, concepts, and practices of pension and benefit plan administration, including relevant legislation and guidelines.
Proficiency in adopting and using technology as a workplace tool.
Professional and resourceful style; able to work independently and as a team player, leading by example and managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Results‑driven, critical thinker.
Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to address human resource issues and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Solid negotiation, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Leadership skills for managing direct reports.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills with attention to detail and focus on employee relations.
Travel may be required.
