Job descriptionSkyline Recruitment is working with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Vancouver office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced building services professional looking to take a lead role in the delivery of complex institutional, commercial, healthcare, and public infrastructure projects across British Columbia and beyond. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and highly respected engineering team known for delivering sustainable and technically challenging building projects across Canada. Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design and project delivery across multiple building projects and sectors Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, and construction documentation Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management Mentor and support junior engineers and designers Participate in client meetings, proposal preparation, and business development activities Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, standards, and quality management procedures Support construction administration activities including site reviews, change notices, and contractor coordination Contribute to process improvements and technical excellence within the engineering team Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline P.Eng. designation in British Columbia, or eligibility to obtain 8+ years of experience in mechanical building services consulting Strong background delivering institutional, commercial, healthcare, or public sector projects Thorough understanding of applicable building codes, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards Proven experience working within multidisciplinary consulting environments Strong communication, technical writing, and client management skills Experience with sustainable building design and LEED projects considered an asset Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment What’s Offered
