Job description
Join the Durham District School Board as an Experienced Painter, where you'll contribute to vibrant school environments. This full-time position includes a commitment to safety practices and high-quality finishes. As part of DDSB, you will utilize your Painter and Decorator certification and relevant experience to meet with school staff, plan painting tasks, and execute projects efficiently. Your role encompasses both interior and exterior painting, ensuring compliance with safety codes and building standards. Key Responsibilities: • Discuss painting needs with school administrators • Manage material procurement and surfaces preparation • Set up scaffolding for safe and effective painting • Paint exterior markings in school yards and parking lots • Track work orders and assist in equipment maintenance Requirements: • Completion of Painter and Decorator certificate and at least 1 year experience • Valid Class G driver's license • Knowledgeable in WHMIS and safety regulations • Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders • Experience in a school board setting is a plus Utilize your painting talent to create welcoming and dynamic spaces at the DDSB. #J-18808-Ljbffr
