As a Clinical Case Manager, you are the heartbeat of our emergency assistance team. You will use your clinical expertise to guide international patients through complex healthcare journeys, ensuring they receive the right care at the right time. This is a fast-paced, 24/7 operation where your medical validation and decision-making skills directly impact lives across the globe.

What You’ll Be Doing

Clinical Expertise & Validation

• Medical Oversight: Perform medical reviews to validate the necessity and eligibility of services for a diverse global caseload.
• Expert Opinion: Provide guidance on medical necessity, length of stay, and \"reasonable and customary\" charges for international medical services.
• High-Value Claims: Review and release high-dollar claims, establishing reserves and ensuring appropriate follow-up.

Global Coordination

• Repatriation: Facilitate complex commercial or medevac repatriations, ensuring patients get home safely.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary clinical contact for Case Managers, Intake Specialists, and Claims Examiners.
• Reporting: Summarize medical data into clear, concise reports for weekly rounds and client notifications.

Operational Impact

• Pharmacy Monitoring: Oversee high-cost pharmacy expenses to ensure cost-containment.
• Collaboration: Participate in new global projects and support the Director of Clinical Operations in evolving our medical processes.

Who You Are

• Medical Background: You are an RN, RPN, or an unlicensed MD (International) with at least 3 years of Case Management experience.
• A Natural Problem Solver: You have superior critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a high-energy team.
• Communication Pro: You are diplomatic and excel in English (written and verbal). If you speak a third language (German, French, Spanish, or Mandarin), that’s a huge plus!
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable with Microsoft Office and learning new case management platforms.

Work Schedule & Environment

• The 24/7 Mission: To support our global members, you must be willing to work rotational shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays).
• On-Call Rotation: You will participate in an on-call rotation (typically 1 week per month) to handle urgent medical emergencies outside of standard hours.
• Hybrid Model: We offer a hybrid office work model and will provide you with a laptop to ensure you have the tools to succeed.
