Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in UI and API automation testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Playwright, along with strong knowledge of API testing methodologies and CI/CD integration.
The candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery through robust automation practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications and APIs
Develop and execute automated UI test scripts using Selenium and Playwright
Perform API automation testing using tools/frameworks such as Rest Assured, Postman, or similar
Create reusable automation components and utilities using Java
Analyze functional and technical requirements and create effective test scenarios
Execute regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end automation test suites
Identify, log, track, and verify software defects
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline integration
Maintain automation test reports and dashboards
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Ensure test coverage, quality standards, and timely delivery of releases
Required Skills
6+ years of experience in QA Automation Testing
Strong experience in:
Java
Selenium WebDriver
Playwright
API Testing
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber
Strong understanding of REST APIs and API automation
Experience with tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or Swagger
Good knowledge of Maven/Gradle and Git
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Good analytical and debugging skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
Knowledge of Docker or containerized test execution
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Experience with performance or security testing is an added advantage
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
